Guardistallo is a small village on the pisan hills, placed 300 m on the sea level. Its position is particularly interesting because it is not far away from the most famous tuscan cities and very beautiful seaside resorts. This is the reason why it is possible to admire a beautiful panorama both looking towards the sea, where with good weather you can see as far as the islands of Elba, Gorgona, Pianosa and sometimes even Corsica, and towards the mountains where the landscape is harsher and wilder but still delightful.

As a matter of fact, we do not have just the seaside but even the maquis, full of game like wild boars, roe deers, hares and pheasants that live in the oak forests near the rivers Cecina and Sterza.
The most famous towns of artistic interest are not farther than 100 km and it is easy to reach them either by train or by car. Moreover, from Leghorn it is possible to get to the islands of Elba, Capraia, Gorgona, Pianosa, Sardinia and Corsica by sea and in the summertime little cruises to the Cinque Terre are organised.

Guardistallo and the very close villages of Montescudaio and Casale M.mo are also called i tre comuni (the three villages), because they were all under the feud Della Gherardesca and nowadays they take part all together into the wine project “La strada del vino Costa degli Etruschi”.
